NEW DELHI: The examination date for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Under Graduate (NEET UG) 2020 is likely to be postponed. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will not be issuing the admit cards from Friday as scheduled.

According to a senior NTA official, “We will not be issuing the admit cards on March 27, 2020 as scheduled. The new date for downloading of admit cards will be issued later following a review on April 14, 2020”

The ministry of human resource development and the ministry of health and family welfare are reviewing the matter on postponement of the exams scheduled for May 3, 2020. After announcement of the 21-day lockdown across the country on March 24 the JEE (main) exam too stands postponed.

According to a senior HRD official, “The new dates will be announced only after the lock down period is over. The ministry is in talks with the health ministry over the matter and new dates will be announce by NTA post the lockdown period.”
