The HDFC Bank has introduced its dedicated scholarship with the name of ‘HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECS Scholarship’ as part of its flagship programme – Education Crisis Scholarship (ECS). The scholarship is meant to support meritorious and needy students studying in Class 6 to UG/PG level. The programme comprises six different types of scholarships which are given after considering the applicant’s personal/family crisis (need-based) or any other financial problem (merit-cum-means based). HDFC Scholarship – Key Dates
The applications for HDFC scholarship offered under the ECS programme usually open in March and continue till July. For the year 2021, the last date to apply for HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECS Scholarship is 31st July 2021. The students who find themselves eligible for this scholarship can apply for it before the last date of application.
HDFC Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

- Open for Indian students who are currently studying in Class 6 to 12 in a private, government or government-aided school.
- They must have passed the previous qualifying examination with at least 55% marks.
- Annual family income must be less than or equal to INR 2.5 lakh (2,50,000).
HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECS Scholarship Beyond School Programme (Merit-Cum-Means Based)
- Open for Indian students who are pursuing non-professional courses like BA, BCom, MA, MCom, etc., at the Undergraduate or Postgraduate level in recognized colleges or universities.
- The students pursuing Diploma/Polytechnic courses after Class 10 or 12 can also apply.
- They must have passed the previous qualifying examination with at least 55% marks.
- Annual family income must be less than or equal to INR 2.5 lakh (2,50,000).

Step 3: Login to Buddy4Study using registered ID to land onto the ‘Online Application Form Page’. If not registered, please register using Email/Mobile/Facebook/Gmail account.

HDFC Scholarship – Selection Criteria
Mere fulfilment of the eligibility criteria does not guarantee your selection for the scholarship. The students are also required to qualify different stages of the selection process. The selection for HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECS Scholarship involves selection at the following stages –
- Stage 1: Shortlisting of applications on the basis of academic merit and financial need or personal/family crisis.
- Stage 2: Telephonic round of interview of shortlisted candidates based on which the final selection will be made.
