CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021: Evaluation process, marks submission date, practical exams – BIG updates here.

As lakhs of CBSE Class 12 students across the country are waiting for the declaration of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has modified the Class 12 result evaluation process and has also extended the date for the submission of marks.

A notice released by the CBSE on Monday saying, “Schools with pending Practical/Internal Assessments are permitted to conduct the same now in only online mode and upload marks on the provided link the latest by 28.06/2021”. It is to be noted that earlier the CBSE had decided June 11 as the last date to submit the marks. The CBSE has said that the schools will have to follow the conditions set by the board on 11.02.2021.

“For the conduct of Practical Exam or Project evaluation where External Examiners are appointed by CBSE, the external examiner will decide the date of examination in consultation with internal examiners and take Viva Voce through online mode,” CBSE added in the circular.
Here are the guidelines set by CBSE to conduct online exams 2021:
  • 1. The list of subjects and the break-up of marks for theory and practical/project/internal assessment, duration of examinations and whether External Examiner will be appointed by CBSE or not, all these details will be available at the official website.
  • 2. In the absence of the external teacher, the internal teachers can upload the marks on the link mentioned by the CBSE board.
  • 3. If the CBSE appoints the external teachers, then these external teachers will decide the date of the exams consulting the internal teachers.

The CBSE has clarified that there will be no extension of the date anymore and the teachers must follow COVID-19 protocols to curb the spread of COVID-19.

On June 1, PM Modi decided to cancel the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic asserting that the decision was taken in the interest of students.
