Assam Board Exams 2021 cancelled. The state government has cancelled both 10th and 2th examination due to the COVID situation in the state. Two committees will be formed to decide the evaluation criteria.
Assam Board Exams 2021 for both class 10 and 12 have been cancelled by the state government. The decision has been taken after reviewing the COVID 19 situation in the state. As per the local daily, State Education Minister said that two committees will be formed to decide the evaluation criteria for Class 10 and Class 12 students.
In an earlier statement, Assam Government had insisted that both AHSEC Class 12 as well as SEBA Class 10 exams would be conducted. In a tentative schedule, the state government had suggested exams for only few subjects in third week of July, provided the case positivity rate falls below 2% in Assam. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had said final decision on Assam Boards would be taken on June 18.
Students and parents, however, have been insisting that the Assam Board 10th 12th Exams should also be cancelled like the CBSE Board Exams. Now, with the release of CBSE Class 12 Result tabulation Policy, many were suggesting that state board should be cancelled.
A plea was also filed in Supreme Court for all state boards to cancel the examination. While approving the CBSE’s policy for result, the apex court has also granted permission to the petitioners to serve notice to the states who have not cancelled the examination as yet.
Advocated who have been fighting for the students’ were hopeful of a favourable result. As per the recent updates, Assam Board Exams 2021 for both class 10 and 12 students have been cancelled.
